We explored Lisbon by Tuk Tuk, tasting legendary pastries, wandering historic neighborhoods, and marveling at iconic sites like Belém Tower and the Jerónimos Monastery. Day trips took us to the fairytale palaces of Sintra, the seaside cliffs of Cabo da Roca, and the charming streets of Óbidos.
We celebrated the season with festive markets, soothing spa visits, and even matching azulejo-inspired tattoos. From handcrafted tiles to panoramic views atop Christ the King, every moment blended culture, cuisine, and connection. Lisbon gifted us a Thanksgiving we’ll never forget—one filled with warmth, wonder, and wanderlust.

Our journey from Athens to Antalya started with a flight delay, a baggage scare, and a 2 AM hotel check-in—exhausted but still buzzing with excitement. While the city’s big-city buzz initially felt jarring after Santorini’s calm, our first glimpse of the Acropolis towering above changed everything. From a perfect breakfast at Smile Gastronomy to standing beneath the Caryatids at the Erechtheion, Athens was already proving itself full of surprises—and we’d only just arrived.
Our honeymoon began with a 3:00 AM wake-up call, but any exhaustion vanished as we descended over Santorini’s iconic whitewashed cliffs and deep blue waters. Staying at Lilium Hotel, with its private plunge pool and stunning caldera views, felt like pure luxury.
From exploring Fira’s lively streets to sipping Assyrtiko at Santo Wines, our first days were a whirlwind of beauty, culture, and adventure. We even got a taste of Greek tradition—literally—at The Greek Wedding Show and a wine tour with breathtaking sunset views.
And this was just the beginning.
From the moment we touched down at 2:00 AM, running on nothing but excitement and sheer determination, to our last golden-hour dinner by the harbor, this Spanish city surprised and delighted us at every turn. We indulged in the bold flavors of Andalusia, sipped crisp white wine in lively plazas, and found ourselves utterly mesmerized by the passion of a front-row flamenco performance. We navigated historic markets, stood in awe of the Puente Nuevo in Ronda, and even snuck in a well-earned siesta before rooftop cocktails overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean.

Our Edinburgh adventure began the moment we landed, diving straight into wedding planning and city explorations. From navigating left-side driving to indulging in Edinburgh Street Food’s crispy chicken sandwiches and miso-caramel soft serve, every moment was a thrill.
We wandered the historic Royal Mile, toured the breathtaking Carlowrie Castle, and even crafted our own chocolate bars at the Chocolatarium. Despite missing the Northern Lights again, Edinburgh’s magic—its rich history, vibrant energy, and unforgettable flavors—made every second special. This city wasn’t just a destination; it was the perfect backdrop to our love story.
Our Icelandic adventure kicked off with an unusually smooth Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt — a welcome change from our typical Ryanair chaos. Once we landed in Keflavík, we grabbed our bags, met our pre-booked taxi, and cruised into Reykjavík to check into the chic Iceland Parliament Hotel. The room? Comfy. The vibe? Upscale. The view? Well… let’s just say the back of a bar wasn’t exactly on our vision board.
Our first night took an unexpected turn when our Northern Lights tour was canceled due to bad weather — but we didn’t let that slow us down. Enter: The Lava Show. Yes, we watched real molten lava flow just a few feet away — glowing, crackling, and radiating intense heat. With a complimentary drink in hand and a front-row seat from the Premium Lounge, it was the perfect pivot.
