Our day began in a whirlwind at the Santorini Airport—lines, crowds, and pure chaos—but we made it to Athens right on time. Thankfully, our driver from Niche Hotel Athens was waiting with a smile, ready to whisk us away from airport madness. While the city’s big-city buzz initially felt jarring after Santorini’s calm, our first glimpse of the Acropolis towering above changed everything. From a perfect breakfast at Smile Gastronomy to standing beneath the Caryatids at the Erechtheion, Athens was already proving itself full of surprises—and we’d only just arrived.
