Reykjavik, Iceland
Our Icelandic adventure kicked off with an unusually smooth Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt — a welcome change from our typical Ryanair chaos. Once we landed in Keflavík, we grabbed our bags, met our pre-booked taxi, and cruised into Reykjavík to check into the chic Iceland Parliament Hotel. The room? Comfy. The vibe? Upscale. The view? Well… let’s just say the back of a bar wasn’t exactly on our vision board.
Our first night took an unexpected turn when our Northern Lights tour was canceled due to bad weather — but we didn’t let that slow us down. Enter: The Lava Show. Yes, we watched real molten lava flow just a few feet away — glowing, crackling, and radiating intense heat. With a complimentary drink in hand and a front-row seat from the Premium Lounge, it was the perfect pivot.
Not a bad way to start our journey through the land of fire and ice.
